David Curtis Memorial
Car -Bike Show & Flea Market
In loving memory of David Curtis  11-5-1970  _ 4-11-2006
Hi, my name is Debbie Jones the coordinator of the David Curtis Memorial. Each year my husband Mike and I
have sponsored the David Curtis Memorial Car - Bike Show & Flea Market.
Although it is the David Curtis Memorial, the fund raiser is held for the National Transplant Assistance Fund ,
and the proceeds are in memory of David Curtis, who passed away April 11. 2006 after his long fight to survive.
The National Transplant Assistance Fund also known as the NTAF is a nonprofit organization that provides
assistance to transplant and catastrophic injury patients with their cost of medical expenses.
My husband Mike and I began fund raising in 2005 Our first fund raiser for the NTAF was The David Curtis
Fight to Survive.
Thats when our son Dave's brother in law David Curtis was placed on a transplant list. David needed a double
lung and heart transplant. In April 2006 David received his transplant. But due to complications during surgery
he passed way on April 11, 2006
Although Davids transplant came to late, Davids family wants everyone to know, just how important Organ
Donation is.  Davids goal after he recovered was to help other transplant patients and their family's threw the
NTAF and other sources of organ awareness.
And so each year, in memory of David, my husband and I hold the David Curtis Memorial and raise funds for
the NTAF.
Although transplants are covered under most insurance, the after care and life long medications are not. And
these expenses exceed $350.000.00
Many patients seeking a second chance at life through transplantation or recovery from catastrophic injury
depend on the generosity of others.
Not only do they need financial help, but they and their family's need social and emotional support.
So please come on October 18, 2008 and help us to help others in their fight to survive.

Thank You
Mike & Debbie Jones
