LLOYD SCOTT FATHER OF 3
36 YEARS OLD OF PINEBUSH N.Y.
NEEDS A KIDNEY TRANSPLANT
As many of you know, and for those of you who do not, our dear friend Lloyd Scott has been
courageously fighting a battle with kidney failure.
Lloyd's kidneys are only working at 5%. He has been on dialysis for three years now, 3 days aweek 4
hours a day. This is whats keeping him alive. Though he is doing fairly well right now on this treatment,
he is still unable to work or do many of the things so many of us take for granted each day.
Lloyd's only option is to receive a kidney transplant.
Lloyd has already completed his evaluation, and is on the transplant waiting list at West Chester
Medical Center in Valhalla.
However, due to the extraordinary expense of transplantation, funding this life saving operation is
monumental task.
Many don't realize that many of his medical needs are not covered under Insurance, and must be paid
out of pocket.
Not only are there life long medications that cost $20,000.00 to $40,000.00 and can exceed $350,000.00
are not covered under most insurance plans.
There are also expenses of traveling to and from, and then the relocations costs at the time of
transplant.
These are challenges Lloyd and his family can not meet alone. Last Aug 2007 , my husband Mike and I
found out that Lloyd was on a transplant list for his kidneys. I then told Lloyd about the NTAF and had
Lloyd contact them and go threw the steps to be put on the NTAF Transplant Assistance Fund List.
This past October, all the proceeds from the David Curtis Memorial were sent to the NTAF Kidney
Transplant Fund In Honor of Lloyd Scott. You can go to www.transplant.org and under patient type in
Lloyd's last name, and it will bring you to Lloyd's transplant page. You can even sign his guest book
while there and let him know you were there.
Hope to see everyone October 18, 2008 for the David Curtis Memorial Car - Bike Show and Flea Market
Thank You
